Andy Priaulx Reflects On Emotional FIA WTCR Weekend In Portugal

Andy Priaulx pays his respects to a member of Team Cyan Racing Lynk & Co who died suddenly in Vila Real on Saturday. “Along with all the members of our team I am shocked and saddened by the sudden death of one of our team’s valued member. To me what happened on track is of little significance after this devastating news. I want to send my deepest condolences to his family and friends.  “The team were amazing today to get the cars prepared in hugely difficult circumstances. They have shown a lot of grit as we have lost someone who was a big part of the team, and everyone has been hugely affected by what we witnessed yesterday. To get a podium for the team from the weekend is a great reward for the team and in memory of him as well,” said Andy.  At the end of one of the most difficult weekends of his racing career Andy finished 18th, 15thand 18th in the three races. “At times like this you remember what is important in life. We will continue racing, as this was the sport he loved, and will keep his memory alive. I will remember him every time I put my helmet on,” he added.
