Andy's decision to take a step back from full-time racing wasn't one made with retirement in mind, rather the start of an exciting new direction to take his racing career towards. The triple world champion continues to work closely within the Multimatic Motorsports team as an adviser and ambassador, having raced with them for a number of years in the Ford GT programme.

The new direction for Andy means he will be looking to develop roles both inside and outside the car. “I am particularly excited about being involved in all aspects of the planning of projects, and feel my many years of experience behind the wheel will play an important role in what I am doing outside the car. Although, having said that, don’t be surprised if I don my helmet and overalls for the odd guest appearance,” he added.
