Andy Priaulx MBE
TRIPLE WORLD MOTORSPORT CHAMPION
About Andy
Andy Priaulx is best known for his three FIA World Touring Car Championship titles but what is less known is the fact that the likeable Guernseyman gambled his house on succeeding in motorsport in 1996, then did it again just three years later!
Since then he hasn't looked back and in addition to the triple touring car world crown the British driver has won the FIA European Touring Car Championship, the Renault Spider Championship and triumphed at the Nürburgring 24 Hour and Sebring 12 Hour races.
Andy's full title is Andy Priaulx MBE, a title awarded to him in 2008 for services to motorsport, in recognition of his third world title.
Multimatic Motorsports
The partnership between Team Priaulx and Multimatic started back in 2016 when Andy joined their World Endurance Championship programme with Ford. He has remained an important member of the team ever since and secured ten WEC podiums with them.
"We will also be testing him in some higher performance machinery. Andy was a hero of the Ford GT race programme and has the development skills and speed to make a significant contribution to the many programmes that Multimatic has underway and ultimately continue to add to our win tally."
LARRY HOLT, MULTIMATIC CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
Andy continues his role at Multimatic Motorsport, with a range of responsibilities including an advisory role within the business and work on various racing projects. He’ll still be in the driving seat too, with a 2021 programme announced in due course.
